Creating Equalz hosted Beyond Compliance: Designing and Delivering Behaviour Change Programmes for Black Men & Communities, bringing together practitioners, academics, community leaders, and specialists from across the sector to share insights, challenge assumptions, and explore what effective behaviour change interventions look like within Black African, Caribbean, and Mixed Heritage communities.

The day was filled with honest conversations, practical learning, and powerful reflections on trust, cultural responsiveness, lived experience, community engagement, and the need to move beyond compliance-driven approaches towards meaningful and sustainable change. A huge thank you to all of our speakers, panellists, delegates, and partners who contributed their expertise and experiences. Your contributions reinforced the importance of designing programmes that are culturally informed, community-centred, and rooted in accountability, safety, and respect.

If you were unable to attend or would like to revisit the discussions, the conference recordings are now available on YouTube and https://www.instagram.com/creatingequalz/

We hope these conversations continue to inspire practitioners, commissioners, policymakers, and community organisations working to create more equitable and effective approaches to behaviour change.
