Child to Parent - Caregiver abuse's (CPCA) Impact on Siblings and the Wider Family When we talk about CPCA, our focus is often on the relationship between one parent and one child. Yet families repeatedly tell us the picture is far more complex. This live illustration weaves together themes emerging from presentations by Lily Graham, Holly Thomas and Dr Shannen Molloy, highlighting the ripple effects of CPCA and Adult Child to Parent - caregiver Abuse (ACPCA) across siblings, parents, extended family members, carers and wider support networks.

The discussion highlighted the need to: Move beyond binary ideas of one victim and one person using harm To recognise the hidden impact on siblings, parents, carers and extended family members To ask deeper questions about family relationships and history To understand abuse within the context of whole family systems To recognise how harm can affect multiple people in different ways To strengthen multi-agency collaboration and information sharing

To ensure risk assessment reflects the complexity of family relationships rather than individual incidents alone The discussion challenged us to look beyond what is immediately visible. By digging deeper and recognising the ripple effects of CPCA and ACPCA, professionals can develop responses that better reflect the realities experienced by families.

I visited a walk-in private family GP clinic in Surrey for a sudden health concern, and I couldn't have asked for better service. The GP was knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely interested in helping me recover quickly. The clinic itself was clean, welcoming, and professionally managed throughout. http://primahealth.uk/
