A call to participate in MOPAC research. Silenced is working with Equality Collabs, to understand families’ experiences of adult-child to parent harm, violence and abuse

Parent and Carer Survey:

Understanding Families’ Experiences to Inform a Better System Response to Adult-Child to Parent Harm, Violence and Abuse

Dear Parent or Carer,

We invite you to participate in an important research project about adult-child to parent harm, violence and abuse. Your insights and experiences are invaluable in helping us develop better support and prevention strategies.

About the Project: The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) has commissioned this research to understand and address adult-child to parent harm, violence and abuse in London. Our goal is to develop practical recommendations to improve support for those affected. Whilst this project focuses on London, we recognise that this is an issue affecting families nationwide and welcome interested participants outside of London to help us identify best practice to share more broadly.

Who We Are: We are Equality Collabs (Silenced - Maria Duah, Professsor Amanda Holt, Dr. Vicky Baker and Jo Sharpen) are leading on this research for MOPAC. Our team have worked in specialist domestic abuse roles for a long time and are passionate about making the system work better for families. This means making sure your voice is at the forefront of any recommendations we put forward.

The Survey: You can access the survey here: https://forms.office.com/e/tt58KgUhff

Thank you for considering sharing your valuable insights with us. Your voice can make a real difference in improving support for those affected by adult-child to parent harm, violence and abuse.

Warm regards,

The Equality Collabs Research Team
